Dr. Sreya Talasila, MD, FAAD is a board certified Dermatologist and Harvard-trained Mohs Micrographic Surgery specialist. Originally from Michigan, she attended medical school at George Washington University and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha society. She completed her internship in internal medicine at the University of Chicago – NorthShore followed by a dermatology residency at Northwestern University, where she served as chief resident. She worked as a general dermatologist at Northwestern before completing an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited fellowship in cutaneous oncology, Mohs micrographic, and reconstructive surgery with the Harvard Medical School Department of Dermatology at Beth Israel Lahey Health. She moved back to Chicago to join the Advanced Skin and Mohs Surgery Center.
Dr. Talasila is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is an Associate Member of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. In addition, Dr. Talasila is a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Illinois State Medical Society.
Dr. Talasila’s interests include reconstruction after Mohs procedures, scar revision, and skin cancer detection. She especially values creating a partnership with her patients to make informed decisions about surgical procedures to improve quality of life.
